    So I'm guessing the straight punch is the "500" punch?

    Football kick is like in the 3rd stage, the little kicks?

    And I don't remember 3 types of punches in Battletoads.

    Maybe a little bit of gameplay/pointing out which move is which would help?

    Other then that, you did a great job coming up with some great ideas! I'll be sure to add the suggestions to the wiki when you give us a little info on the attacks.

    P.S. I guess I'm not a true Battletoads fan :p

    Correct. Those multiple punches before the finisher.

    Correct again!

    There were only 2 punches. The straight punch and the double axe attack. There were regular versions that didn't finish off the enemies and the EXAGGERATED enders that killed them for good.


    No worries. There are many games I'm sure we can all school each other in!

    I saw the battletoads from the avgn, i like the catchy pause with should be exclusive to battletoads pause menu. I also just wanna say, all those of in favor of sonic's power-ups being Super Sonic, and then hyper sonic, with shadow, and knuckles, and myabe the dog from duckhunt.

    Yeah, we're thinking about using the Pause music to be in the "Entering Pipe" sequence.

    I think that's a fair compromise, since it's so notorious for being good (oxymoron?).

    Or it could be used in the star sequence, but I doubt it.

    Since none of the other characters have pause menu music it could make it stand out like it did in the original game. If that gets added during the pause screen I don't think any other character should get pause music just to keep it unique.

    Come on, seriously?

    Most pause musics are silent, that's your answer.

    Battletoads, on the other hand, is KNOWN for its pause music. It'd be a sadistic sin to not put it in the game. It's catchy, it's used all the time, and it's...AWESOME!

    I know, but I think it should retain its name as pause music and be the music for the pause screen. It will stand out even more as none of the other SMBC characters will have pause music.

    Doesn't this sound a whole like a certian TUNE we've been talking about? Oh yea, the pause music. But wait, this is the LAST LEVEL OF ONE OF THE GREATEST MUSIC SERIES EVER!

    It's not like it'll be used a lot. Entering pipe scene is used like 8 times in the game for only 3 seconds, so give me a break. And if it was star, you could imagine how "often" you here it.

    Rash's Complete Move Set

    I present to you...
    Rash From Battltoads's Complete Explanation[​IMG]

    -Rash CAN'T break blocks with his head
    -While underwater he would just use he air move set (Spike those bloopers!)
    -Enemies don't have recoil from hits because they would just die.
    -Bowser could play as if he were in a battle toad game. Where after a smash hit he would bounce up. Then if you don't get out of the way he would crush you (like Blag) and hurt you.
    -Enemies will stop when getting hit, and other enemies will just turn around when touching the one getting hit
    - Smash hits can hit up to 3 enemies because the KISS MY FIST move launches you forward. THE BIG BAD BOOT will do so too.
    -Spiketops will kill Rash instantly, besides when ever he touched any form of spikes in Battletoads he died too.

    Jump: Jump
    Attack/Run: Attack *point in different directions for different attacks
    Moving: What ever the player wants just like normal
    Run: Press Right/Left Twice then hold it down
    Special: Tounge *Just pressing it will make it go strait out but as he recoils to launch it aim it with the move keys.

    Overall, Rash will be the acrobat of the game. Well he is a toad what'd you expect?

    Ok, we have the music figured out, but we might take some of the suggestions, like the special zone one, that's a good one! I take it you've been reading the past posts because you did the rope thing at the beginning. The music at the beginning will probably be the first couple parts of the title screen. Tounge you got correctly, we'll be using the special attack button for that.

    Yes, we TOTALLY needed the sprites. That's what gave you my thanks, the sprites. We already have the music, like I already said, but we'll take some of your's. I'm pretty sure we have all of the attacks figured out, too. bnjay's take on the attacks will do, but the custom uppercuts is totally epic, so we'll hope that'll be included. We also needed the sprites for mushroom, flower, and normal sprites.

    I think I covered everything.

    You should compare my music list with yours. Mine is a bit more complete, including game over, entering pipe sequence, and death. Also I found most of the MP3s links that you can listen to straight into your browser. I listened to each one to find the most fitting music possible. You should change your music to links so that they would be easier to compare with my selection.

    There is also a couple things missing from your explanation:
    -Rash's move set while swimming (I believe it's similar to the air moveset)
    -Clarification on what keys do what moves (is the tongue the special move?)
    -Sound effects: i.e. hitting enemies
    -Can/should Rash be able to break blocks with his head?
    -Is he able to jump high enough, or does he need solutions similar to Mega Man or Simon?

    Uppercut will be Up+Attack Button

    Normal button will be the punch

    Kicks will be down+Attack (I can imagine a lot of strategy points will be added with this)

    Ram will be Attack+Special

    Hitting enemy in air will just be Jump+Attack

    And I think I already included that tongue is special, by itself.

    The ram, hitting enemies in air, and punches will be the "punch" sound

    I think there's a different, lower sound for the kick, so we'll do that for the kick.

    Probably not.

    I mean, let's face it. Rash is a TOAD! Soft heads? Also, it doesn't look like his hand is above his head when he jumps, so this is a no.

    Again, he's a toad, he can jump. I also noticed in the game that he can jump way higher then usual video game characters when I was playing Battletoads.

    He jumps pretty damn high, so he won't need any help. And changing the height of the jump in between power-ups is just fucking teasing the gamer, no offense.

    Captain Knight, You have the controls a bit messed up.

    Rash is supposed to play how he does in Battletoads & Double Dragon on Stage 3 Ropes 'N Roper, because its the only side scrolling level in the whole game.

    I'll update my first post so the move set has the action commands too.

    lol yeah, sorry about that. I'm not that good with making up combinations like that.

    But I'm guessing my other points are good?

    Edit : How could the Command for the kicking work out? I mean, you'd usually attack while running, wouldn't pressing attack while moving, which makes Rash kick, be really awkward and confusing?

    Not necessarily, see the challenge with making this move set was I wanted to include all of Rash's smash hits and squeeze as much sprites as humanly possible into this one character. But the only way for this to work out would be to take out the ram and replace it with the boot, which I really don't wanna do.

    But i'm thinking, how does this sound:

    Punches up until Rash Charges up for his punch if the player holds right/left it will change to his boot so people can get that satisfying kick of pwnage.
