Still, it should be a cheat.
what does breaking bricks have to do with balance?
maybe if you break a brick and are not mario nor luigi than you go downwards after you hit the brick, but break it still. if you are mario or luigi you continue going up
Actually . . . that would make things worse for Mario and Luigi.
In fact, that was one of the flaws with the Super Mario All-Stars version of SMB. It makes it harder to make long jumps under a brick ceiling because you hit the next brick and lose all your momentum.
Details here, under "Brick Physics":
Anyway, I still think it should be a cheat, as the other characters are still much better at breaking bricks than Mario. It's a matter of convenience more than anything else, and it makes the Mario Bros. more unique.
Guys, I know how it could work(with Mega Man anyway). In Mega Man X1 the head parts.... it could be a power-up....
Nope. Mario hits 2 bricks (or any number) You still go up
Well, that's just silly. No Mario game has ever worked like that.
I gotta agree with Theoman, this makes no sense. Making a cheat to make everyone break bricks is one thing, but giving Mario new and awkward powers for the effect in any capacity is going a bit far.
fine then they all do that.
or they only break one block.
Or we could just leave it the way it is now and add Hard Head Mode as a cheat, like this thread was about to begin with. What's wrong with that?
Well thats what I ment
