Request Cheat: SMB3 hit point option for Mario Bros

    Mitewing Level 9: Spike Top

    In SMB3/World, if the Mario Bros had a Fire Flower or higher power up, they would remain Super and not lose the Mushroom when hit. I think this should be a cheat that can be turned on and off.

    Not true of World. You did indeed lose the mushroom when you got hit, as well as whatever other power you had (cape/fire). Only Yoshi added an extra hit beyond the mushroom. However, World had powerups that returned you immediately to whatever state they represented... so the Fire Flower you were holding in reserve would instantly give you fire power, for example.

    I guess I need to play SMW again. I thought it was just like SMB3. Anyway, the SMB3 option should still be added.

    You're probably thinking of the GBA version.

    Decent idea, but I think this would work better wi- wait a second 3.0 doesn't have the conventional difficulty select anymore. But yeah this should be an option.

    I remember saying this
    If hit with powerups and mushroom- lose powerups
    if hit with mushroom and no powerups- lose mushroom
    if hit with no mushroom and no powerups- die
