How about making SBMC downloadable? I'd love to play this on the road.

    Edit by mod:
→ SMBC 2.11 and older is playable offline, given you find the files.
→ SMBC 3.0 is NOT playable offline. No official word on why or for how long.

This is something that will most likely won't happen.

    It's already downloadable.

    But don't.

If you download the latest version then I will come to your house and snap your neck.

If you need to download it because you can't access the internet where you're going, i think it's fine.

But anywhere else please use the site.

While it is generally frowned upon to download and play the newest version, you CAN download older versions here.

It's not quite the same, but if you really need your SMBC fix and don't have the internet it works well enough.

Oh you mean that. I only play it offline for events.

But when you play it online please play it on this site to support it.

Actually, all I see to download is the preloader. The game itself (including the old versions) are loaded from the net via the preloader. If you don't save the game file, the preloaders don't work (and the old versions (save Atari) don't go anywhere). Was just curious.

You have to run the old versions through your browser, like it says on the wiki page.

Actually, that's not quite correct. I downloaded the preloader and tried playing the game without an internet connection and it runs fine (saving and loading even works).

Even still, the few times I play the game nowadays, I play online, unless I don't have internet. Heck, any of the flash games I have downloaded I play on the internet, unless I don't have internet connection.

the preloader on my offline computer only shows Mario running in Place at 0 coins! Is it because I Have Flash 10?

Try Internet Exploder, it seems more stable with offline Flash.

I really think that there should be a downloadable version to play offline. Lots of us dont have an internet connection all the time. Make it available to only members of this community with a high level account (minimun of 50 messages or something). I dont think a user that comes and posts here, would cease to support the site just because it has the offline version.

    There is a downloadable version.
If it's on the Net, you can download it.

Can you help me find it? All I find in the net is old versions.

You're looking for the wrong thing.
I've found what you need. It's here.

Yea I know about crappy programs that you can download, swf files. But i get the "stuck in loading screen" problem everytime I tryto use it on all browsers. (IE, chrome firefox.)

Now that is called encouraging pointless post-farming.

A lot of people do, but a choice is a choice. Jay made the game, so it is their rightful choice to let it available online only, so you can't give him orders ("Make it available" without any "please").
Luckily for you, version 1.1 and 1.2.03 are both officially available to download here. It is only due to a piece of code which doesn't allow the Exploding Rabbit team to embed them on thei own pages, but that's something.
