In :megaman: 2, when you use game genie codes the music gets very....werid..

It would be kinda be cool to have an option in the music set to make it "Glichey" or some other name.

What do you guys (and girls) think of it.

heres the video I got the idea from. have fun listing to it, and enjoy some other fun stuff.

Well, the music from SMBC comes from NSF, SPC and GBS (I think is GBS for Game Boy Music Format), that are the native formats of the consoles music, And is played via Blargg Music Emu.
But SMBC is a flash game, and so, Game Genie codes can't be used on it. Ans emulating the glitches would take a lot of programming time which could be used on other, more intresting things, such as new characters, modes, etc.

Yeah, putting an option to make your head explode. Why not?

EDIt: TiagoDu's point is that SMBC is emulating the music but is not a NES file, so it can't being buged by any Game Genie code. And recomposing such ..."musics" would not be... err... productive ; I don't know if it's even possible.

Lol you also watch Gemini Laser videos? :D. And btw I don't really think it would be revelant for SMBC -no offense-.

    I also meant the music.
Look, The music from SMBC is played directly from files, which contain the sequenced music extracted from the game ROMs. The music from SMBC dosen't come from MP3 format, it comes from the consoles native format:
NSF for NES Music, SPC for SNES Music and GBS for GB Music, which are played on the Blargg Music Emu.
The glitched music comes from errors on the game's programming, not in the music itself, so trying to extract these musics is impossible. (I think)
For Short: The music can't be extracted because it's glitched "on-the-fly" by the game, and not stored on the game's ROM. It's not like an unused music, which could be extracted.

    You have two choices:
    1 - Glitchey Music.
2 - New Chars, Modes, Skins, Features, Cheats that are really intresting.
for me, option 1 is cool, but not as cool as the second one.

    oh and

    1 - Glitchey Music.
2 - New Chars, Modes, Skins, Features, Cheats that are really intresting.
3 - All of the above

    I pick 3

    .....
Ok, number two would be a big update, 1 would be small.
And Jay did what I am saying he could do with 1, he made a invisible skin update, that was all.

    TiagoDu Level 6: Lakitu

Well, and how much programming you think it would take to make a such small feature?
It's the cost/benefit that kills the request's priority, if it will be even in

  14. Xman321

    Xman321 Level 4: Buzzy Beetle

HE MADE AN UPDATE FOR A SKIN, WHY NOT MUSIC.

    But there isn't a thing like a glitchy skin.............wait a moment.
You're requesting that ALL characters have glitchy music or just the one on the video?
because it was just ONE skin, not many.

You don't realize that making an invisible skin is easy as making a theme and map skin almost all transparent, implementing and naming it in the game?

How can you implement musics that DO NOT EXIST ?

There exist nsf's for glitched Mega Man 1 & 2 music with game genie. Not sure if it's worth to add to the game though.

    Then answer me one question:
Why would you want sounds that give you headaches when you can keep good musics?
