Request I WANT PIT FOR SMBC!

    It always was. Metroid and Kid Icarus ran off the same engine, as with the Game Boy sequels of both games.
    Fun Fact: Metroid Fusion runs off the Wario Land 4 engine.

    I haven't played Kid Icarus in forever. Is his basic movements and gameplay exactly like Samus sans powerups?

    Pretty much. As someone (I think Mario-Fan) pointed out, Metroid and Kid Icarus run on the same engine.

    They just tweaked minor attributes.

    So? That means they are not EXACTLY the same, which is what was asked. Irrelevant as always, though.

    Another small difference: Pit can't shoot while ducking.

    So all that's keeping Pit from being a separate character are his unique powerups? Let's take a closer look at this.

    Mushroom: Gives him Sacred Bow and one Power Arrow
    Power Arrow: Increases Arrow strength a second time. May work best as enemy drop to allow additional power levels.
    Flame Arrow: Adds flame power to arrows
    Arrow of Light: Arrows shoot through all barriers. Replaces Flame Arrow if equipped and vice versa.
    Hammer: Secondary weapon dropped by enemies. Armor piercing.
    Feather: Saves Pit from falling into pits. (Heh) Can only carry one at a time.
    Crystal Rod: Two crystals circle Pit for protection. May work best as temporary power up.
    Pegasus Wings: Allows Pit to fly by pressing or holding jump (Japanese version). Would work best as temporary power up.
    Mirror Shield: Can reflect Bowser's fire.

    Now all of these items may not translate well in SMBC but most will. Hopefully, he will be his own character one day.

    I'm perfectly content with the Pit skin we have now. The one change I might want would be for the Flame Arrows to work more like they did in KI rather than the Wave Beam, but that might not be possible for a skin.

    It's probably not possible unfortunately. However, I'd say at least half of Pit's programming is finished per his skin. I had an idea regarding the Pegasus Wings. What if they worked like SOPHIA's Hover? The flight meter could be made to look like his life bar in the game

    Bumping for a new question. I notice Pit moves like he has the Morph Ball when crouching. Can he do this in Kid Icarus. If not, I believe it should be removed.

    I was told that Pit could "crouch move" in Kid Icarus

    I agree, but it'll prolly be hard to do.

    I heard the Famicom music is better quality than the NES. Would it be acceptable to use that music for his 16 bit skin?
