Request Make Proto Man a separate character if Link gets a working shield (More details inside)

    I don't think it'd be useless, but maybe difficult to master. Proto's shield would block both hammers and Bowser flames.

    I'm all for both MMs, Bass, and Proto getting their own weapons but it would be too much work. This thread is based on idea that Link will get a working shield. If so, it would be nearly identical programming for Proto Man and thus not much trouble to add.

    So far the shield is not enough. However if Proto Man is his own character. His first playable traditional Mega Man game was 9. So we can give him all the MM 9 weapons.

    Classic Mega Man.... Hm it would be awkward if we had two MMs but if it doesn't effect future characters getting in SMBC I don't really mind it. Classic MM can have mixed weapons from MM 1 and 2. Give him the Magnet Beam and bam.

    My idea is to use assign to assign 4 weapons from each game to the following:
    Classic Mega Man: MM 1-2
    Proto Man: MM 3, 5 (Because he plays an important part in the plot of those games)
    Regular Mega Man: MM 4, 6 (Because his charge buster debuted in MM 4 and he could have Rush Adapters from MM 6)
    Bass: MM 9-10 (Newer weapons for newer character)

    I like your ideas. Those weapon sets are a good idea. I support it.

    Here's my list. It took forever to put together based on uniqueness and usefulness of the weapons and to make sure no weapons share the exact same colors.

    Classic Mega Man (MM 1-2):
    Super Arm, Rolling Cutter, Thunder Beam, Ice Slasher, Metal Blade, Atomic Fire, Leaf Shield, Time Stopper, Magnet Beam, Item 1, Item 2, Item 3

    Proto Man (MM 3, 5):
    Hard Knuckle, Shadow Blade, Needle Cannon, Gemini Laser, Charge Kick, Water Wave, Napalm Bomb, Star Crash, Proto Coil, Proto Jet

    Modern Mega Man (MM 4, 6):
    Pharaoh Shot, Rain Flush, Flash Stopper, Drill Bomb, Flame Blast, Wind Storm, Knight Crush, Plant Barrier, Rush Coil, Rush Jet, Rush Marine, Rush Power Adapter, Rush Jet Adapter

    Bass (MM 9-10):
    Magma Bazooka, Black Hole Bomb, Hornet Chaser, Tornado Blow, Thunder Wool, Chill Spike, Wheel Cutter, Water Shield, Treble Boost

    Only thing I don't really like are screen cleaners since it would take the fun out of co-op and they are way too powerful. Otherwise good sets.

    Oh yeah as far as default color goes. Classic Mega Man would have the NES colors while Mega Man would have the MM 9-10 colors.
