This is Part 2 (Section B ) of the melody voting.

Again, I kinda like all of them, but I'll vote A, C and I. ;)

This voting was tougher than section A.

The rhythm is much more free-form than Section A's, so it can be harder to come up with a melody. It was interesting to see what different people came up with for it. :)

It's cool to see how people have different perceptions of what is a good melody ;)

Yeah, I was surprised by the results of section A's votes.

I had an idea. What about making a "retouching" round after the last round. The winning composition could be retouched by the contributors (like, adding notes, making the notes seem more coherent, generally "fix" the composition as they like).
The voting would include the original composition as well as the "arranged" compositions by the various contributors.
    What do you think? :)

Actually, I hadn't mentioned this yet, but during future rounds it's perfectly acceptable to make changes to the winning melody if it makes improvements that suit it, the bass, the harmony, etc.

For example, if I were to compose a bass line for one of those melodies I would probably have to make some changes to it to make it sound right. That is perfectly acceptable in the next round.

So essentially, adding the bass and adjusting the melody are part of the same thing. Then, for the addition of the harmony, further modifications are allowed. This basically is the same as having the retouching round you were talking about.

    Does that work?
