  2. Faruga

    Faruga Level 12: Super Mod

Why do I get the idea that that music is also used in the Sonic NES hack?
  3. MissingNo2

    MissingNo2 Level 9: Spike Top

Because all the Sonic NES pirates back then used the same game, just with modified sprites.
  4. Omicron

    Omicron Level 9: Spike Top

The person or group who did these didn't have any notion of nothing. Sounds like my brother trying to sing.

It even seems like they made each channel separately and then just threw everything at a wall and got what sticked.

To its credit, I do rather like Marble Zone and the boss music for this.

I would put Intro Stage on Overworld, and Aqua Man's stage on either Underwater or Bridge. Grenade Man sounds really weird on Overworld

Right now I'm looking at the OP, and the music slots in the quote and the music set it has are contradictory.
I take it the quote is the most complete one?

If so, is thee really a music slot just "Tank"? Are Coin Heavens and "Underground Bonuses" really separated?
Also I haven't played for a long time, but I know that there's a "Final Boss" slot, and, it needs to be checked, I think the out of time music in 8-4 is different from normal ones. It could be just for castles though.
  19. Faruga

    Faruga Level 12: Super Mod

SMB3 Mario/Luigi have different music in the tank levels. Coin Heavens and Underground Bonuses are indeed different. Final Boss does have a slot of its own. 8-4 has the regular castle music. It'd be great to have a different song though.

I meant the music that plays when you're running out of time.
Like, for Mario, it's a speed up of the castle music.
For Simon, the "Out of time" music in 8-4 (or in castles?) is "Black Night". Which is amusing because if you run out of time and then reach the final boss, it will restart "Black Night" since they're different slots but the same music.
