You see, in melee, the trophy for young link states that he was a kid in the original legend of zelda.

(Insert image here. It somehow went missing...?)

however, his portrait depicts him as an adult.

Same for the SNES skin, and because he was being took care of by his uncle, he was probably a kid in the link to the past too. However, the skin for GB link depicts him as a kid,

when in the cutscene for the original game depicts him as an adult.

I think you switched the portraits there. Can this be fixed?

Actually both are pretty accurate based on artwork.

    NES (From the manual)

    GB (From in-game artwork)

I do agree the GB one looks silly, but that's how he looks in game.

    *TiagoDu takes artwork from manual*

*TiagoDu then takes artwork from the game*

*CJ64 sees that he's an adult*

Okay, I won't argue for NES and SNES any further, but I still say that GB should still be adult, because majority vote here so-to-speak says that he's grown up in this game. Not only the manual, but the intro and ending cutscene in-game too.

The reason why he looks older is because the Link in Link's Awakening is the same one from A Link to the Past, and takes place after ALTTP.

It was Blaine's decision to make the SMBC portrait accurrate to the Link's Awakening ingame photos. Not only does it look different, but it also looks nicer at such low resolution.

TheomanZero, MissingNo2 and Mitewing like this.
