    I didn't think this hack, being an NES ROM, had Special's exclusive powerups or enemies.

    It works just like swimming, you mash the button.

    I've been thinking it will give all characters their underwater physics.

    I was wondering how the powerup was used once it was grabbed.

    It doesn't.
    Barrel = Buzzy Beetle
    Firebug = Spiny
    Fighter Fly = Paratroopa
    Icicle = Podoboo
    All Special Powerups = Stationary 1ups

    It immediately switches Mario to underwater mode sans bubbles.

    So it's relatively easy to code this item in, no? I mean, just switch to underwater physics when picked up and it's done, isn't it?

    Don't you mean WITHOUT bubbles? ;)

    That's what "sans" means.

    Very funny --'. I did'nt knew «sans» meant without, and I also wanted to correct you because «sans» is also a french word meaning without, so I thought you made a mistake.

    Super Mario Bros Lost Levele will be more fun but there is needed a cheat so you can jump on enemies without being hurt(for others than Mario and Luigi).

  13. MissingNo2

    MissingNo2 Level 9: Spike Top

    It's asking which would be easier to implement, not which is more fun.

    Missingno2 it would be a lot easier to do it.

    Last time I checked, the Lost Levels mainly required high speed, precision jumping, and Goomba stomping, which are things next to all of the extras lack. And the extra powerups and enemies in Special require little to no new coding, so that's a plus on Special.

    I have a question which has never been officially answered. After Lost Levels is added, will VS Super Mario Bros and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros be added as well? Both games use variations of levels from SMB and LL.

    I still think a "Random" option would be more likely and appropriate.

    Why would it be more appropriate for a random level selection? VS and ANN are official Nintendo games. I can see being able to play one of the 5 versions of SMB. A random level option would be a cool extra but shouldn't replace legitimate games.

    Because said "legitimate games" are barely edited ROM hacks that are equivalent to a random level option, minus the random. Not really worth it. If you want it, wait until the level editor's released.

    VS and ANN are actually legitimate games. However they are barely edited and can be made with the level editor and ANN has a chance being a skin for the game.

    SMB2J and Special are obviously going to be top priority.
