    If he does get in, I have a couple of ideas for skins:
    Default Sprite: Master System sprites (hey, they are ugly, but they were from his first i think 8 bit adventure)
    SPA Sonic
    Sonic 1/2 and 3 genesis sprites(3 can't use Peel Out)
    Somari
    Sonic Advance/Modern Sonic
    Tails(modifiers would be higher jump, a bit slower and no peel out)
    Knuckles(has a little less gravity when falling, a bit slower and no peel out)
    Amy(a bit slower and no peel out)
    Silver Sonic from STH2 on Game Gear (a bit slower, has really heavy gravity and no peel out)
    Silver Sonic from STH2 on Genesis(if not possible due to hitboxes, he can be scrapped. also has same modifiers from other Silver Sonic)
    Metal Sonic from Sonic Boll Skin(it's in the sonic boll skin database)
    Metal Sonic from Sonic CD(same modifiers as Silver Sonic)
    I could think of a million others, but i'll just leave it as these for now

    It debuted in sonic cd and was only useable in SCD, Triple trouble, sonic chaos and sonic blast (NOT 3D Blast).

    I have been playing this game for a while now, and as a diehard Sonic fan, I sat down and gave it some thought, and this is what I came up with.
    SKINS:
    Sonic 1 (8-bit)
    Sonic 2 (8-bit)
    Sonic Chaos
    Sonic Triple Trouble
    Sonic 1 (16-bit)
    Sonic 2 (16-bit)
    Sonic 3
    Sonic CD
    Each of these would probably have differences in move sets, such as Sonic 1 and Sonic CD being unable to use the Spin Charge, Sonic Chaos and Sonic Triple Trouble having the Super Peel Out, and Sonic 3 being the only one able to use Insta-Shield.
    MOVES:
    Basic running
    Looking up/Ducking
    Spin Attack (Jump, can defeat most enemies on contact)
    Spin Dash (Pushing down in mid-run, also able to defeat most enemies, not to be confused with Spin Charge)
    Spin Charge (Hold down while standing and press A, can also defeat most enemies, cannot be used by Sonic 1 or onic CD skins)
    Insta-Shield (Press A in mid-air, protects Sonic from harm, can also defeat most enemies, can only be used by Sonic 3 skin, cannot be used with Flame Shield)
    Super Peel Out (Hold Up while standing and press A, can only be used by Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble, and Sonic CD)
    Flame Charge (Press A in mid-air, also defeats most enemies, can only be used with Flame Shield)
    POWER UPS:
    Mushroom - Gives Sonic a basic Shield
    Fire Flower - Gives Sonic a Flame Shield
    Starman - Gives Sonic 1, Sonic 2 (8-bit), Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble, and Sonic CD skins invincibility, transforms Sonic 2 (16 bit) and Sonic 3 skins into Super Sonic
    MUSIC:
    Haven't really figured anything out for CD or any of the 8-bit games, as I don't play those ones a whole lot.
    Sonic 1 (16-bit) - Green Hill Zone in Overworld, Marble Zone while Underground, Labyrinth Zone while Underwater, Star Light Zone at Night, Scrap Brain Zone in Castles, Sonic 1 Invincibility Theme during Invincibility, Sonic 1 Boss Theme during Boss Fights, and Final Zone on the Final Boss
    Sonic 2 (16-bit) - Emerald Hill Zone in Overworld, Mystic Cave Zone while Underground, Aquatic Ruin Zone while Underwater, Casino Night Zone at Night, Death Egg Zone (Sonic 2) in Castles, Sonic 2 Invincibility Theme during Invincibility, Sonic 2 Boss Theme during Boss Fights, and Sonic 2 Final Boss Theme on the Final Boss
    Sonic 3 - Angel Island Zone in Overworld, Lava Reef Zone while Underground, Hydrocity Zone while Underwater, Ice Cap Zone at Night, Death Egg Zone (Sonic & Knuckles) in Castles, Sonic & Knuckles Invincibility Theme during Invincibility, Major Boss Theme during Boss Fights, and Sonic 3 Final Boss Theme on the Final Boss (though The Doomsday Zone here would be understandable as well)
    NOTE: All music from Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles switches to the Act 2 version when the timer goes below 100.
    I think the level entry theme should be the title screen theme from whichever game the selected skin is from. I same goes for victory themes and credits themes.

    There are a couple misnamings/problems here:

    → The thing where you duck and charge is the Spin Dash.
    → The thing where you run and roll is the Spin Attack.
    → The fire shield attack is the Fire Burst.
    → SMBC is not going to support Genesis music due to filesize.
    → Sonic could not turn Super with a starman due to Super Sonic basically breaking the game. The Star simply gives invulnerability, so stick with the Star Shield.

    Are you sure about the music thing? If so, I'm sure they could work something out.

    Anyway, I don't really think Super Sonic would break the game, since all it does gameplay wise is make Sonic go faster and be invincible. Now HYPER Sonic on the other hand... Even if it did, they could just cut the speed boost, reducing to a fancy-looking invincibility.

    As far as the misnamings go, I did some research and you are right. The attack where he jumps and spins is called the Spin Jump (go figure). Thanks for clearing that up.

    Well... Except for the Fire Shield dash thing. I've looked around through a couple manuals and the wiki, and the attack itself is acutally not names. To each his own, I guess.

    I can see where he mistook it for the jump.
    In the sonic cd manual, jumping is referred to as the spin attack, while in other games rolling is named the spin attack.

    it makes sonic go faster and jump higher
    if you reach top speed you could practically jump over the level

    no invincibility has actually changed the character's appearance in SMBC so i think it'd make sense if all sonic did was flash colors instead of go super
    he doesn't need special treatment just because he had super sonic in his own games

    Hmm... I guess I can see your point. I just think a lot of Sonic fans would be disappointed if they didn't get to see Super Sonic. I don't mean to give Sonic special treatment, I just think it would be a cool idea. I guess what I'm trying to say is unless you're really pushed for time, there's no reason not to.

    Now that I'm through with expressing my hype, let me put it simply:

    I found it. I found the tool of legend that compresses VGMs to the heavenly ratio of 5%.

    Sonic could be a one-button character. When getting a Super Mushroom, he can gain the Homing Attack and with a Fire Flower, he can do what Samus's Varia Suit can do but with the fire shield visual effect around him. Or with the Electric Shield, he can attract coins (or rings, depending on the map skin) and double jump. This game is all about merging different franchises, and there are obscure characters in the game, so why not Sonic? Also, Knuckles could be added as a Ryu skin because Knuckles can climb walls.

    It's kind of sad how people are still in the mentality of 1.x, even though that's almost two years ago now.

    MAJOR BUMP WHY AM I FUCKING DOING THIS THIS IS SO IRRESPONSIBLE

    with the point of SMBC being to be able to play as other characters in Super Mario Bros., I'm surprised we never wound up adding sonic in. We can live without him, there's quite enough fan games where mario and sonic cross over, but still, we never even made him a skin. Oh well, that's what Sonic Boll's for.
